Every year local singers come together to rehearse and perform Handel’s Messiah. As well as enjoying singing this classic composition, the choir helps to support the community by raising funds for local charities.

Covid19 Guidance

  • All rehearsals and events are held in the Bunyan Meeting Hall. As it is quite a large space, you are encouraged to spread yourselves around the building and maintain physical distancing

  • Windows and doors will be open to ensure that there is plenty of ventilation

  • The wearing of face coverings is not compulsory and will be left to your discretion. However, since other choir members may feel more comfortable and better protected if you wear a face mask, we would strongly recommend that you do so while moving about in the building.

  • It is not expected that you wear a face mask while singing. To reduce the risk, please don't sing too loudly.

  • Please use hand sanitiser when entering the building confirm your attendance at the front desk.

  • Please inform us if you contract Covid within 5 days of the event. To keep people safe, we may help you to contact other choristers with whom you have been in close contact.

  • Please do not attend if you feel unwell/have any Covid symptoms or you have been in recent contact with someone who has symptoms or you have been advised to self-isolate.
